The result of all this is that very little of the original Cliki code remains, so we decided it should have a different name. Kiwi is a recursive acronym for Kiwi Is Wiki Inside. Kiwi is also the middle characters of "Wikiwiki".
Kiwi was made possible by code written by or inspired by (in alphabetical order):
The current version should have feature parity with Cliki and adds the following new user-visible features:
We believe that the new architecture will make it rather straight-forward to add other features such as expanded RSS support, a non-HTML "wikitext" syntax based on MediaWiki's, and a system for creating pages that can be accessed only by registered users.
We hope you enjoy using this wiki system. Please report all bugs you find on the Kiwi Bugs page. We will get them fixed as soon as possible.
We plan to publically release the Kiwi source code early next year, after we tidy it up and write internal documentation. It's late March 2007 -- that could count as "early next year". How about it? Phil Hudson
It's now June 2007 -- Where are the developers/maintainers?
Please let us know something what your plans are for the source of this wiki-system.
If don't wanna release it fine, but tell us.
Don't say you are going to release it and then just disappear off the face of the earth.
We're now in the eighth decimonth in year 17 of our Lord Vectron (or, in the old calendar, year 2052 AD)
The skies are foul with fumes from burning airships set ablaze in endless unnamed and unrecorded battles. The English language is dying, few can read it, even fewer speak it. I would volunteer to translate this page into New Latin but I am close to death and fear I no longer have the strength. As I dictate this from my hover-desk, I feel the darkness filling in around me. Oh yes, I almost forgot. Any news regarding source availability?
